Parents Information about Manker Patten Junior Grips Program

What Should your child Bring and Wear
Comfortable Athletic Wear, Tennis Shoes (non-marking shoes), and your Tennis Racket (we have demo rackets if needed) . It would be best if each child had a water bottle.
Class Criteria
The coaching staff will be looking for coachable young athletes who have a great work ethic and want to learn to be better players while having fun. Young athletes will be tested and evaluated for their overall athletic ability and level of tennis skill using GRIPS!! www.gripsprogram.com
Coaches will apply the following skills (in this order):
Attitude: Players who are positive, smiling, and eager to learn.
Athletic Ability: Players with the ability to learn and perform beginner and moderate  skills.

What to Expect at Classes
Expect your child to have fun and work hard. They will be asked to perform all physical skills and drills at full speed. They  should listen their  coaches when moving from drill to drill and when going to and from water breaks.
ATTITUDE EVALUATION: Tennis players should be willing to try hard, make mistakes, learn from those mistakes and keep trying. We emphasize on "The PROCESS not the OUTCOME "Coaches will take note of those players who listen, follow directions, and HAVE FUN!!!!
